VICTORIA DAPAAH, the 27 year-old lady at Adum in Kumasi, who was shot and killed by her boyfriend, Inspector Ahmed Twumasi, has been buried.
Nicknamed as ‘Maa Adwoa’, the lifeless body of the deceased was buried at a cemetery in Konkromoase, in Kumasi, her hometown, on Saturday June 24.
Prior to the burial, Maa Adwoa’s body, which was in a white casket, was opened in her family house at Adum for scores of mourners to pay their last respects to her.
The mourners, especially the family members of the late Maa Adwoa, were seen crying bitterly over their great loss, even as they bid farewell to their beloved family member.
As a reminder, Maa Adwoa was brutally shot dead by her boyfriend, Inspector Twumasi, after a slight misunderstanding, sparking extreme anger in Kumasi.
There were fears and concerns that the burial of Maa Adwoa would ignite troubles at Adum, the Central Business District (CBD) of Kumasi, but that wasn’t the case.
The mourners comported themselves well as there was no any major security incident. The mourners carried the casket through the streets of Kumasi to the KMA area.
The casket was then put in a hearse to the cemetery at Konkromoase for burial. The presence of the mourners caused massive vehicular traffic on the road.
