Sunday, May 12 is Mother’s Day and as usually done, people all over the world will be honouring their mothers; their birth mothers and the women who have cared for them like their real mothers would.
In view of that, Gheneral Empire Records Signee Evans Ofori Amoani popularly known as Kofi Byble takes us on an emotional journey of a mother – child relationship in a master piece titled ‘Mama’ specially dedicated to the celebration of mothers specifically the Ghanaian mother.
The ‘Baby Mama’ hit maker uses his early day life with his mother, through the struggles, pain, hardship his mum had to go through to nurture him to become who he is today in life arranged on a beautiful Afro pop beat to tell the world how appreciative his mother’s support meant to him and all in general.
In an interview with The Publisher, he discloses Mama was produced by one experienced beat maker in the history of Ghana’s entertainment Industry adding that, the song would be released come Saturday, a day before the Mother’s Day Celebration.
According to him, Mama looks to go down as one of the special songs written to celebrate our mothers on the occasion of ‘Mother’s Day’ with it storyline that most Ghanaians can relate to in thanking and celebrating their mums with.
Hailing from the Akuapem Mountains here in Ghana, grew up in Nsawam but residence in Accra, the singer positions himself as an artiste to whose song and stage craft you can’t turn an eye off anytime he gets the opportunity.
His days spent underground has been used as a time to sharpen his skills and harness his talent as he sees himself now as a full-fledged artiste who is ready to trill Ghana and beyond with his unique style of music as he blends Twi with English to create the best of harmony.
