The Vodafone African Legends Night was a success on last Saturday as the carefully selected artistes thrilled hundreds of music lovers who graced the event.
The event organized by Global Media Alliance, witnessed the maestro Kojo Antwi perform for the first time on the same stage with Charles Kwadwo Fosu popularly known as Daddy Lumba.
They were joined by Africa’s Reggae and dancehall king, Samini.
Being the 7th edition, the artistes took turns to treat music lovers with a number of their hit songs.
The night was opened with a performance from Wulomei, One of Ghana’s foremost traditional music band.
Cladded in a traditional apparel, the group treated music lovers with indigenous Ga songs.
The maestro, Kojo Antwi took turn and got the crowd on their feet.
He performed a number of his A list songs, including “Adiepena” and “Medofo pa”.
The audience couldn’t resist, but rather called for more of his countless tunes.
Dancehall artiste, Samini, young in the midst of two legends, also didn’t disappoint. He gave almost an hour of energy sapping performance.
He also performed a rendition of Bob Marley’s Redemption song which got crowd singing along.
The ‘lady’s man’, Daddy Lumba climaxed the night with a great performance.
He brought the roof literally crashing down with a performance that got both the young and old singing along with him.
DL celebrated his 54th birthday on the night and was presented with a cake by the organizers of the event.
This year’s event was graced by former first lady, Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings.
