KOJO BONSU, a former Chief Executive of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA), has extended a helping hand to the Kumasi Children’s Home.
He has presented an assortment of foot items, confectionaries, toiletries and bags of water plus an undisclosed amount of money to support the about 200 children in the foster home.
Kojo Bonsu, who has a track record of periodically donating to the home, said this current donation was to help the kids mark the Yuletide in a grand style.
According to him, despite not having parents, the children of the home still have the potential to make it big in life in future, so society should support them.
“These are special kids who needs to be shown affection, love and support because they are our future presidents, nurses, doctors and journalists, among others”.
Kojo Bonsu also stated that he would continue to support the children in the Kumasi Children’s Home whenever he has the chance to help better their lives.
Ms Mabel Amponsah, the Manager for the Home, thanked Kojo Bonsu for his support for the home, saying that “God should continue to bless and protect Kojo Bonsu”.
Meanwhile, Koko Bonsu was recently in Kumasi to take part in the last Akwasidae festival of the year. He used the chance to interact with the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.
