Asante Kotoko have touched down in Ghana after drawing 0-0 with Kariobangi Sharks in the first leg of their CAF Confederation Cup round-of-32 clash on Saturday.
The Kumasi-based Club touched down at the Kotoka International Airport on Monday, December 17, afternoon and will according to reports head to the kumasi by road.
The team spent the night in the Ethiopian capital and flew directly to Accra at 8:40 AM EAT, which was 5 AM in Ghana, touched down around 11:20 AM at the Kotoka International Airport and will proceed to Kumasi by road for preparation of the return league.
It was exactly top quality with sharks avoided conceding a crucial away goal while Kotoko just but managed to hold their nerves for a draw away from home and will look to capitalize on the result in the return leg. However, Sharks will only need a scoring draw in Kumasi next Saturday to progress to the second round.
The draw in Kenya means the Porcupine Warriors need a victory in the return leg which is on Saturday, December 22, in Kumasi to qualify for the next stage of the competition.
