Kotoko Boss Targets Africa Trophy

THE CHIEF Executive Officer (CEO) of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Dr. Kwame Kyei, says winning the Africa Confederation Cup is his team’s main target.

He observed with concern that it has been a while since the Porcupine Warriors made a meaningful impact on the African continent, and indicated his wish that Kotoko would break the barren jinx on the continent by lifting the glittering Africa trophy.

“My vision is to win the Africa trophy, but ‘man proposes and God disposes’ so we are counting on God to help us achieve that great feat”, he said.

Dr. Kyei appealed to the teeming Kotoko supporters to rally behind the team so that they can achieve laurels both locally and on the continent, adding that, with unflinching support from the millions of Kotoko fans, the team can go places and make history.

The Kotoko CEO assured that he would continue to implement pragmatic policies and programmes to move the team forward.

Kotoko finished outside the top four of the league but they appeased their fans by beating rivals, Accra Hearts of Oak, to win the FA Cup.
