Kotoko Targets Group Stage in Confederation Cup
KUMASI ASANTE Kotoko is targeting to reach, at least, the lucrative group stage of next year’s Africa Confederations Cup.
Even though the Kumasi-based club is determined to win the Africa trophy, they say their worst performance should be a qualification to the group stage.
Godwin Ablordey, the confident Team Manager, stated that Kotoko has what it takes to conquer Africa.
According to him, the team has the experience and a squad to cause sensation in the Africa Confederations Cup Tournament.
“It is the wish of Kotoko to lift the Africa trophy this year in order to bring the smiles back onto the faces of our supporters.
“Even if we fail to land the ultimate, which is the Africa cup, at least we should reach the group stage of the competition”.
The former skipper of Kotoko said his team is not afraid of its first opponents in the competition CARA of Congo.
“The game against CARA of Congo will be a total victory for Kotoko and that will start our quest to land the Africa cup”, he said.
