Kotoko to Buy New Defenders
STRUGGLING KUMASI Asante Kotoko is planning to shop for new dependable defenders to strengthen their defence.
This was disclosed by the beleaguered-trainer of the Porcupine Warriors, Paa Kwesi Fabin, whilst he was talking to some sports journalists in Kumasi.
Kotoko has suffered a turbulent season so far as they have lost more matches than those that they have been able to win in the league.
Last week, the once-fearsome Kumasi Asante Kotoko, playing at home, succumbed to their perennial arch rivals, Hearts of Oak, who beat them 1-0.
Coach Fabin, who, predictably, has come under serious fire following the poor run in the league, has admitted that Kotoko needs reinforcement.
“Kotoko needs to make some new additions into the club, especially at the back so that the club can improve in the league and other competitions.
“When the transfer window is opened, we shall go out and purchase new defenders to beef up our squad to stabilize our back”, he said.
According to him, Kotoko doesn’t have adequate number of defenders now in their camp and that was creating big problems for the team in the league.
