Kotoko Woo Fans for Africa Game
KUMASI ASANTE Kotoko wants a full house as they host CARA of Congo in the first-leg of their Africa Confederations Cup eliminator this weekend.
The crunch game would take place at the famous Baba Yata Stadium in Kumasi, where Kotoko has recorded important wins in the past.
This time around, Kotoko, who have played at virtually empty stadiums in Kumasi in recent times, want to draw the crowd to the stands.
The Kotoko management believes that if the stadium is jammed-packed, then they can easily put the visitors to the sword this weekend.
In this regard, Kotoko have adopted several strategies to help attract their red army supporters back to the stands to support them.
One of the strategies is to parade the trophies of the club, which was formed in 1935, in a car through the principal streets of the Garden City.
The club would also invite the Ashanti Regional Minister, Simon Osei Mensah, and Kumasi Mayor, Osei Assibey Antwi, to come and support the team on Sunday.
THE PUBLISHER SPORTS has gathered that several other programmes have been lined up this week to woo fans back to the stands for the crucial match.
