K’si Mayor calls for support

SAM PYNE, the newly confirmed Kumasi Mayor, has called for total support from all-and-sundry so that his administration will be very successful.

According to him, he has effective and pragmatic plans to transform Kumasi during his tenure, stressing that he could not singularly develop the Garden City.

In this regard, Sam Pyne has entreated residents of Kumasi, especially members of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) to firmly rally behind him.

In his maiden address to the personnel of the KMA, the new Chief Executive stated that total cooperation would be needed from every staff of the assembly.

According to him, every member of the assembly should see themselves as one family with a common destiny, so they should always work together in peace.

Sam Pyne, who is the immediate-past Ashanti Regional Scribe of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), said all forms of bitterness and rancour should be avoided.

He said he was expecting to see an improved personal relationship between the members of the assembly so that his vision for the city would be realized.

The Kumasi Mayor said the set targets of the assembly should be the concern and objective of every member of the assembly as he starts his tenure.

Sam Pyne also urged the KMA personnel to be punctual at work and also avoid lateness to work so that the development of Kumasi would be boosted.

He stated that he considers every member of the KMA as a partner in development, therefore he would always practice an open and transparent administration.
