The Black Stars and West Ham forward Mohammed Kudus, has been named in the 2024 CAF Team of the Year after an outstanding year.
Kudus impressed during his debut Premier League season with West Ham United, scoring eight goals and providing six assists.
One of his most memorable moments came in the Europa League, where he dribbled past several defenders in a solo run against Freiburg before scoring a sensational goal. This strike earned a nomination for the 2024 Puskas Award and was also named West Ham’s Goal of the 2023/24 Season.
Kudus also shone for the Black Stars during the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), scoring two goals in a match against Egypt. His impressive performances at both the club and international levels secured his spot in CAF’s Team of the Year.
Joining him in the 2024 CAF Team of the Year are goalkeeper Andre Onana from Cameroon, defenders Chancel Mbemba from DR Congo, Kalidou Koulibaly from Senegal, and Achraf Hakimi from Morocco.
The midfield includes Franck Kessie from Ivory Coast, Sofyan Amrabat from Morocco, Yves Bissouma from Mali, and Mohammed Kudus from Ghana. The forwards include Ademola Lookman and Victor Osimhen from Nigeria, and Mohamed Salah from Egypt.
