Black Stars midfielder Mohammed Kudus has scored his first brace in the English Premier League since joining West Ham United from Ajax Amsterdam this past offseason.
Kudus’ first ever brace came in a 3-0 win for West Ham over Wolverhampton Wanderers on Match Day 17 of the 2023-2024 EPL season.
The Ghanaian international scored his first goal in the 22nd minute off a brilliant counter attack with Brazilian midfielder Lucas Paqueta playing Kudus through to run at goal before cutting infield to slam the ball past Wolves keeper Daniel Bentley.
Kudus’ second came in a similar transitional move after West Ham gained possession and had Paqueta set up Kudus with a brilliant pass for Kudus to finish off with his weaker right foot.
Paqueta and Kudus celebrated in the latter’s infamous “Landlord Pose” together; the pair a variation to the celebration after Kudus’ second.
In the lead up to the game, Kudus explained the reason for his unique goal celebration UK born Ghanaian Pop artiste Guvna B.
Kudus has scored nine goals for West Ham and is heavily tipped to be named in the Black Stars squad for the 2023 AFCON.
