Ghana midfielder Mohammed Kudus has laid out his readiness to help West Ham United win as many games as possible.
He said this in the aftermath of The Hammers 3-1 win over Backa Topola in the first round of games in the 2023-2024 UEFA Europa League season group stage.
Kudus scored his debut goal in the win in the 70th minute after starting for the first time since joining West Ham from Ajax Amsterdam.
Speaking after the win, Kudus was delighted with the result and his goal and went on to express his keenness to help his team.
“I am here to help and as you have seen today, I just did my best for the team…I have been here for a short time but it feels like I have been here for a long time already because everyone around the team helps me.”
Meanwhile head coach David Moyes is happy with the contribution of Mohammed Kudus to the team in his young tenure at the London club.
He said this after Kudus scored in West Ham’s 3-1 win over Backa Topola in the UEFA Europa League group stage.
West Ham conceded in the 46th minute but recovered to score the expected win with Kudus scoring in the 70th minute.
The goal is Kudus’ first ever for West Ham since signing for the team on the final day of the main transfer window.
The game also marked Kudus’ first ever start for West Ham after making his debut off the bench in a 1-3 loss to Manchester City in the English Premier League.
Speaking at the presser, Moyes stated, “Really pleased that he’s made a big contribution already. He’s still getting used to us we are still getting used to him…and he made a good contribution.”
