Kumasi: Ban on funeral lifted

The Manhyia Palace has today, April 29, 2019 lifted the ban on funeral rites in the Kumasi metropolis and regions of Asante extraction.

The ban on funeral was declared from April 8 to 29 to pave way for the celebration of the 20th Anniversary of Asantehene Osei Tutu II.

The Palace led by the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has expressed appreciation to the general public for commiserating with them during the activities to celebrate Otumfuo Osei Tutu II’s 20 years on the Golden Stool.

Busumuru rites was performed earlier today at the Manhyia Palac before the ban was finally lifted to pave way for people who have lost their friends and loved ones to perform their funeral.
