BUSINESS ACTIVITIES in Kumasi is set to improve greatly in the coming days, following the grand opening of a fresh Shopping Mall.
Christened as the ‘Western Mall’, the new mall, which boasts of modern amenities, is located on the main Bantama High Street.
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Western Mall, Mr. Isaac Owusu, who is a popular businessman in Kumasi, said his outfit would bring a difference in the city.
“The shopping mall industry in the city of Kumasi will now experience a massive difference with the opening of the Western Mall at Bantama”, he said.
Isaac Owusu said Western Mall would bring competitiveness in the shopping mall industry, adding that his mall has come to stay.
Western Mall, he said, has provided employment for a lot of the youth, who hitherto were unemployed, urging the people to patronise his mall.
The Ashanti Regional Minister, Simon Osei Mensah, who opened the Western Mall, lauded Isaac Owusu for his passion to create employment.
The mayor revealed that Isaac Owusu owns a chain of businesses that are providing jobs for the youth, urging other affluent people to emulate him.
Osei Mensah was of the view that government could not solely provide jobs for the youth so the private sector should also get involved.
The Paramount Chief of Offinso, Nana Wiafe Akenten, lauded Isaac Owusu for his efforts to transform the state and urged him to sustain his good works.
The grand opening of the Western Mall attracted a lot of dignitaries including Ing Nana Poku Agyeman, Kumasi Urban Roads Director and others.
Members of the Ashanti Regional Security Council (REGSEC) were also at Bantama to add colour to the opening ceremony.
