Kumasi Hails Osei Assibey
Chief Executive of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) Hon Osei Assibey Antwi, seems to be on the right track as he has earned the applause and commendation of but the Assembly Members in his jurisdiction as well as residents in and AROUND Kumasi.
Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives across the country are generally loathed and antagonized. Therefore, it is a huge plus for Osei Assibey Antwi, to command the type of support and commendation within his metropolis.
Since his assumption of office, the Kumasi Mayor has displayed significant achievement especially in the areas of sanitation, environmental health, revenue mobilization and beautification of the Kumasi metropolis.
He has as well implemented several pragmatic policies, which has massively transformed the city, so far.
Hon. Osei Assibey’s new interventions have helped the KMA to progress in the areas of participatory governance and local investments.
His exemplary leadership style has also seen growth in trade and industry, international relations and disaster management at the KMA, among others.
Significantly, Mr. Osei Assibey’s laudable achievements seem to have been noticed by Kumasi residents.
This resulted in the decision of scores of residents of the Garden City to shower tons of praises on the hard-working Chief Executive of the KMA.
Delivering their New Year message on radio networks across the city, the Kumasi residents stated that Osei Assibey has started work on a positive note.
They said they are highly impressed about Osei Assibey’s humble and respectful attitude and style of leadership, adding that the KMA boss respects all manner of people.
Some of the Kumasi residents, who claimed to have encountered the Kumasi mayor before, said he doesn’t discriminate against people.
“He will accord you all the respect that you deserve and also take his time to listen to your needs and concerns”, Maame Afia Fofie said.
She said the Kumasi Mayor acts as the father of the city as he (Kumasi Mayor) is always focused and determined to grow the city.
Baba Mohammed, another Kumasi resident, said Osei Assibey’s short tenure in office has led to Kumasi rapidly getting back its Garden City of West Africa status.
He said Kumasi now looks very neat and he attributed the positive trend to the hard working and visionary leadership by Osei Assibey Antwi.
Nana Akosua Achia, another resident, entreated Kumasi residents to rally behind Osei Assibey so that he can lead Kumasi to become best city in Africa.
