Kumawu Gets Fire Center
Kumawu, a sprawling town in the Ashanti Region, for the first time in the history of the town has gotten a Fire Service Center.
Samuel Osei Agyekum, the District Chief Executive (DCE) for the area, could not hide his excitement over the development as he explained the importance and benefits of the new Center
According to him, Kumawu had in the past depended on nearby communities for help during fire outbreaks and this created huge challanges.
The DCE noted that the lack of a fire service center in Kumawu adversely affected the area in times of fire outbreaks.
“I am the happiest man on earth today because Kumawu now has a Fire Service Centre”, the elated DCE said on radio.
According to him, an amount of Gh 140,000 had been secured to construct a modern fire service center for the area.
Osei Agyekum disclosed that accommodation facilities had also been secured for the fire service personnel in the area.
He wholeheartedly commended all shareholders that played roles to make the fire service center project a reality.
Osei Agyekum stated that he is committed to the effective transformation of Kumawu and its nearby areas.
The DCE therefore appealed to the residents of the area to rally behind him to help bring more projects to the area.
