A 30-MEMBER Sanitation Standard Implementation Committee has been formed by the Kwadaso Municipal Assembly in the Ashanti Region and tasked with the mandate to ensure that residents would uphold sanitation standards in order to wipe away filth from the Municipality.
The 30-member Committee has been tasked to go through the Municipality for two months, teaching the presidents about best sanitation practices and how to sustain a clean a d healthy environment.
After the two months grace period expires, members of the Committee would strictly apply the Assembly’s sanitation by-laws on the people.
Richmond Agyenim Boateng, the Kwadaso Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), said President Nana Akufo-Addo has tasked Municipal, District and Metropolitan Assemblies to keep their respective jurisdictions clean.
According to Richmond Agyenim Boateng, the formation of the Committee was a clear indication that the Kwadaso Municipal Assembly is ready to battle filth in the Municipality.
The Kwadaso MCE charged the residents to play their roles so as to ensure that filth would be wiped away from the municipality so as to beautify the place.
According to him, the Committee should be given the needed support and cooperation so that they would make Kwadaso Municipality beautiful.
