Kwahumanhene Sworn into Eastern Regional House of Chiefs
The Eastern Regional House of Chiefs, as part of its end-of-year general meeting, has sworn in the new Kwahumanhene, Daasebre Akuamoah Agyapong II, as a member of the House.
The Kwahumanhene was sworn into the august House by Justice Mrs Cecelia Davis, the High Court Judge at Koforidua.
He was made to swear four oaths; Official Oath, Oath of Allegiance, Judicial Oath and Oath of Secrecy.
Daasebre Agyepong is known in private life as Eugene Kwasi Asante Boadi.
He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance and Investment Banking from Lincoln University California, U.S.A, and BSc Administration, Accounting Option from University of Ghana, Legon.
He is a member of the Association of Charted Accountants (ACCA) UK, and a Project Management Professional (PMP) Awaiting certificate.
Daasebre Agyepong had his secondary education at St Peter’s Senior High School, Nkwatia Kwahu.
Osagyefo Amoatia Ofori Panin II, the President of the Eastern Regional House of Chiefs, urged the new Kwahumanhene to serve the people of Kwahu with dignity and respect and extend same to the House.
‘’We are sincerely hopeful that you will use the experience you have gained to bring the people together in unity for the socio-economic development of the Kwahu Traditional Area,’’ he said.
He called on citizens of Kwahu to support and work with their new chief to promote the development of the area.
Daasebre Agyapong, in an interview with the press, urged reporters to crosscheck their information on chieftaincy disputes before publication in order not to create fear and panic.
