Kwame Adinkra Marks Val’s Day…With Orphans
IT WAS an unforgettable Valentine’s Day for inmates of the SOS Village at Asokore Mampong, near Kumasi last Wednesday as Ace Broadcast Journalist, Kwame Adinkra, aka ‘Apotiti’, left the comfort of his studios and celebrated the day with the orphans.
The 2015 Best Radio Morning Show Host in the country used the occasion to donate quantities of items to help impact on the lives of inmates.
Among the items he donated to the management of the home were bags of maize, beans, rice, sanitary pads, toiletries, a huge poly tank for water storage and an undisclosed amount of money.
The journalist, who is an ambassador of the SOS Village, stated that as a Christian he believes that there is more blessing in giving than receiving.
In this regard, he said he decided to show love to the orphans, who are usually overlooked during Valentine’s Day, which is set aside for mankind to show love.
Promising to do all he can to sustain his desire to regularly donate to the home, ‘Apotiti’ urged other well-to-do-people in society to assist government in its bid to cater for all orphans in the country.
Seasoned colleagues like Samson K. Nyamekye, Lawyer Ohene Djan, Eunice Atakorah Manu and Ohene Boakye, were there to witness the donation, which was received by Bernard Amoako, the Programmes Manager, SOS Village, Kumasi.
Kwame Adinkra is the current Morning Show Host of Abusua FM in Kumasi. He started his career with Otec FM before moving on to Fox FM, Angel FM and Atinka FM.
