Information reaching thepublisheronline.com, indicates the brother of the now-dismissed Minister of Energy, Boakye Agyarko, is confirmed dead at a hospital in the United States of America after a long battle with illness.
Close sources to the family and the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), say Mr. Agyarko revealed, he recently went to the States to seek medical care after his condition was stabilized at the Ridge Hospital in Accra.
The former Chief Executive Officer of the Food and Drugs Board (FDB) now FDA, was born on 10 December 1957 at Odumase Krobo in the Eastern Region.
He was also the Chairperson of the Environment, Science and Technology Committee of Parliament and once served on the Government’s Assurance and Health Committees.
The late pharmacist-turned-politician obtained a BSc IN Pharmacy at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in 1982.
He was married with seven children.
