Deputy Minister of Roads and Highways, Kwadwo Owusu Adoum, has pointed to inadequate resources as a factor accounting for the slow pace of development of road infrastructure and transportation across the country.
According to the minister, although it is the aim of government to exploit other means of transport such as railways, the country has had difficulties raising funds for such projects.
As a result, Mr Aduom has disclosed that private public partnerships among other innovations would be employed to improve the situation.
He made the disclosure on Wednesday, 14 March 2018, in an address to a gathering at a dissemination workshop on Corridor Development for West Africa Growth Ring Master Plan sponsored by the Japan International Corporation Agency (JICA).
