A LANDLORD at Adwumam New Site near Kumasi in the Ashanti Region, has been arrested over the death of a three year old boy.
Nurudeen Yakubu, 42, the landlord, is being questioned as to how the little boy got drowned in a deep manhole, dug in his house on Sunday.
THE NEW PUBLISHER has seen a police report, which said the little boy, identified as Wilson Duun, got drowned in the manhole around 5pm.
It said the little boy, who lives At Adwumam, had left his house to Yakubu’s house to play but he sadly got drowned in a manhole, full of water.
Whilst playing around, the little boy was said to have stepped on a wooden board covering the manhole and he reportedly caved in and died.
“The landlord, Nurudeen Yakubu, 42 years old, is detained for investigations”, the police report disclosed, adding that the body is at the mortuary.
It said the father of the deceased stormed the Kenyasi Police Station around 5pm on Sunday to report about the death of his little son.
According to the father, his son was playing in a nearby house when he unfortunately got drowned in a manhole after stepping on wooden board.
