Father of the late Ebony, Nana Opoku Kwarteng, has stressed that no artiste anywhere on this planet can replace his late daughter except Ebony’s elder sister. According to Mr Kwateng, they wanted to release a couple of songs last year but she is always busy with her national service.
Mr Opoku Kwateng in an interview with Ike De Farmer on Brekum based Shalom 100.3 Fm, he said,
“Ohemaa(Ebony) is unique. She is in her own world and class in terms of music. No one can replace her. Wendy Shay could be greater but nowhere near Ebony. The only person who can replace Ohemaa is her elder sister Adwoa Poku Kwateng. We are planning on releasing couple of songs to continue with the legacy Ohemaa left behind”
He further added that, Ebony’s sister will continue the legacy Ebony left behind in her short reign in the music industry.
Since the burial of her daughter a couple of months ago, Mr. Opoku Kwarteng takes every slightest opportunity in the media to go for the jugular of Bullet, accusing him of cheating him.
Recently, Mr. Opoku Kwarteng in an interview with journalists disclosed that Bullet cheated him out of proceeds he accrued from the tribute concert held in Ebony’s honour. He also asserted that out of the GHC 39,999 from the concert, Bullet gave him only GHC 2000.
About a month ago, Ebony’s father produced a handwritten note he claimed was handed to him by Bullet which detailed how much artistes received to perform at the concert. The list has since been refuted by the artistes whose names were captured on it.
Although Mr. Opoku Kwarteng has labelled Bullet as a liar, the Ruff Town Records manager has indicated he is not perturbed by the allegations made by father of his former artiste, only to say Nana Opoku Kwarteng is ungrateful.
