Late J.H Mensah Deserves State Burial – Kweku Baako
Editor-in-Chief of the New Crusading Guide newspaper, Abdul Malik Kweku Baako has addressed on the need for befitting state burial for the late politician who’s death happened last Thursday. Mr Baako said this on Joy FM’s news analysis programme Newsfile programme Saturday, while discussing the works of the late politician on earth.
” He was a great personality, he did so well for Ghana’s democracy to today’s existence. For some of us the younger generation, we got closer to him and learnt a lot. I hope we give him a state befitting burial, he deserve it hands down ” – he emphased.
According to the renowed journalist, Ghana will miss him.
”He comes sober, understanding of issues,he has a history, being big MIND. He is a store house of Ghana’s history. I express my condolence to his family and all Ghanaians” – he added.
The Gold Coaster born on October 31, 1928 was as well a founding member of New Patriotic Party (NPP).
He was the brother of Mrs Theresa Kufuor, wife of former President John Agyekum Kufuor under whose government he served as a Senior Minister.
