Rose Idibia, mother of veteran singer Innocent Idibia, widely known as 2Baba, has urged Edo State lawmaker Natasha Osawaru to end her romantic involvement with him.
In a viral video posted on Thursday evening, she expressed concern over her son’s emotional state, citing his ongoing divorce from Annie Idibia.
Speaking directly to Osawaru, she pleaded, “Good evening, Nigerians. I am Mrs. Rose Idibia, the mother of 2Baba. This message is for Miss Natasha Osawaru of Edo State. I am calling on all Nigerian mothers to help me beg her to let my son go.
“My son is currently going through a divorce and is not in his right frame of mind. I know him well—this is not who he is. Please, Natasha, remove the beads you put on his hand and neck, and free him.”
In January 2025, 2Baba publicly announced his separation from Annie Idibia after more than a decade of marriage.
Rumors about his relationship with Osawaru surfaced when the two were spotted together at the Edo State Assembly and later seen leaving a Lagos club.
On Wednesday, February 12, 2Baba proposed to Osawaru, confirming their engagement.
