Let’s Maintain Discipline in GRA – Nti
Mr Emmanuel Kofi Nti, Commissioner General, Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA), has called on officials of the Authority to help maintain discipline in the various divisions.
He said the deteriorating level of discipline in the Authority was a source of worry and asked the officers to help raise standards.
Mr Nti, in a speech read on his behalf, at the passing out parade for group instructors drawn across the country in Kpetoe, called on them to allow the discipline and training they received to enhance the image of the Authority.
He said the completion of the training coincided with the absorption of about 5000 Nation Builders Corps (Nabco) personnel into the Authority and asked the instructors to mentor them to be professional.
Mr Junior Appiah-Warden, Commandant, GRA Academy at Kpetoe, said the instructors were trained to help end all forms of corruption in the Authority.
He said any country without a good stream of revenue could not develop and called for maximum cooperation to consolidate the nation’s gains.
The Academy graduated 35 officers comprising of 28 males and 3 females, who passed out as instructors with Mr Maxwell Amoquandoh adjudged the overall best student having swept three out of the six awards.
