A letter to John Dramani Mahama

This letter is to prompt Mr. Mahama on something perhaps he hasn’t taken note of or paid attention to.

But before I prompt him, I must first of all say John Mahama is a gentleman and those close to him or have closely worked with him can attest to the fact that he is a good man. Hon. Kennedy Agyapong also has said he is a good man but due to politics they go hard on him.

Now I want to prompt Mr John on voters and their vote. You see, the hard-core NDC man will vote for NDC vice versa with the NPP due to how much they love the party. When all these ones are taken out , we have the floating voters left. Whether we like it or not we have people who are party loyal and will never change their decision but aside them there are the other voters I call the floating voters, who vote for you based on your policy and conviction and these are the people every party is targeting to inform their decision.

So then if they are the target, how to get them to vote for you becomes the agenda for the day and that’s where I want to prompt Mr. John Dramani Mahama.

In 2016, we had some radio presenters who verbally attacked people because they love John Dramani Mahama and despite the numerous verbally attacks on people the NDC led by John Dramani Mahama lost the election to the opposition. So the old campaign system some radio presenters are using to win you votes thinking they love you more than your family is to insult and attack people verbally,. listen Mr. John Mahama, they are doing more harm than good to you and that’s the truth.

Should you win the election this year fine, but I want to caution you that the verbal attacks on people by these radios presenters who claim are supporting you is going to create problems. Let’s consider why people love Baba Sadiq even people of the NPP love him and that’s all because he doesn’t insult, he rather gives you the fact and argues his way out very well and these radio presenters who do the opposite claiming they love you should learn from Baba Sadiq.

The floating voters every party is targeting are not won over by insults and verbal attacks, if so it would have reflected in 2016. Winning them over is all about dialoguing, convincing and persuading them to accept you based on the numerous things you have done and can do for them. During your tenure you did a lot for the country especially in the area of infrastructure which everyone can attest to, but despite that the cards took a turn. This is where these radio presenters should consider and project your works other than rain verbal attacks on people.

It is funny how some of them who claim they love you more than your wife ,went around raining insults said ill stuff behind you when things went bad in 2016 . And this time as usual they popped up again all because of their bellies ,they continue to release the insults and verbal attacks forgetting the effect of it in the past.

We are not fools, when you insult others, the NDC loyals will make fun of it and laugh because with them their decision is settled but the floating voter who are needed to influence the change end up getting scattered among other parties with few on your side due to these insults.

It’s high time your radio presenters learnt from Baba Saddiq your own man and make things right.

So Mr. John Mahama should you loose this election blame your radio presenters who are scattering your votes ,it didn’t work out in 2016 and they are repeating it in 2020.
