Social media commentators and Ghanaians in general have expressed dismay and disapproval over actor Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly called Lil Win release of a new song featuring musician Kwaku Flick over a recent accident he had which killed an innocent 3-year-old boy.
The comments after the release of the artwork and subsequently release of the song titled ‘The Voice of God’ has not been pleasant for the actor.
They describe him as insensitive for singing about the situation, with many describing him as seeking for public sympathy to have his freedom after the death of the young boy.
In a Facebook post announcing the release of the song, Lil Win explained, “Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. On May 25, 2024, I was in a terrible accident with my manager @ray_moni, resulting in the loss of a young life. Rest in perfect peace, Nana Yaw. I pray that the good Lord grants your parents another child to fulfil your destiny. To all my fans, thank you for your prayers. Special thanks to @kwekuflick @kingpalutamusic & @apyagh for this project.”
However, the uproar that arose after the announcement was massive with many calling on the country’s justice system to deal with the actor well, adding that, he shouldn’t be set free if found guilty.
“Kwadwo Nkansah Lil Wyn, Kwami Eugene had an accident a few months back, and while receiving treatment at the hospital, he cooked something. That is brilliant. It means in your pain, you can still be creative. So when I saw you were set to release something, I felt it was alright. However, Kwadwo, you are behaving like wo nni futufoɔ. Look, you have a court case where a child had died due to your alleged reckless driving. Why do you keep digging yourself down the hole? Panyin biara nni wo group no mu or wo nni lawyer a ɔbɛtu wo fo? Well, toaso eh” a social media user by name Kwasi Osei-Danso Ofori-Atta noted.
Another loud fan of the actor in a video cited by the paper indicated, “Lil Win is highly insensitive, heartless and wicked for releasing that song from his sick bed. He’s suffering from childhood rejection”.
“Hello @GhPoliceService get him sentenced now” Listowel Mensah also noted on his social media page.
