Lucky Herbal Clinic Organises Free Screening Exercise For Traders
Lucky Herbal Clinic on Wednesday organised a free health screening exercise for traders in Takoradi, to mark Valentine’s Day celebration.
The gesture is the clinic’s way of showing love on Valentine’s Day to ensure that traders had proper medical care and stayed healthy to do their business.
More than 100 beneficiaries were screened for health conditions and ailments such as; hypertension, malaria, diabetes, prostate cancer among others.
The Public Relations Officer of Lucky Herbal Clinic, Mr Anthony Kofi Inkoom Dadzie, who was happy with the number of patrons for the screening exercise told the Ghana News Agency that, due to the busy schedules of the traders, it was difficult for them to undertake regular medical check-ups.
“We all know we are in the month of love and as an institution we also have to express our love to the market women in one way or the other, knowing that it is very difficult for market women to go to the hospital, we brought healthcare to their doorstep,’’ he added.
According to him, the two-day exercise would be replicated in other regions saying that they started the exercise in Elubo and would move to the Eastern region from Takoradi.
He said those found to be suffering from various ailments were treated and given medication.
Mr Dadzie therefore advised the youth to desist from bad behaviour and urged the public especially traders to go for periodic check-ups to detect various ailments for a quick solution and also know their health status.
Some of the beneficiaries, who spoke to the GNA expressed their gratitude to Lucky Herbal Clinic for showing love to them by organising the exercise as it had helped them know their health status and treated them of various ailments.
