Confirmed reports reaching The Publisher indicates, the Chief Executive Officer of Lynx Entertainment, Richie Mensah has ‘Cut Off’ MzVee to sign talented music duo, DopeNation.
The ‘Natural Girl’ singer has been missing from the music scenes for several months and to make matters worse, the label has failed to address the queries of the public.
Some have even speculated that MzVee is pregnant hence her disappearance from the scenes.
However according to a credible source of the Record Label, the music group has been signed to replace Mzvee.
The Insider also revealed that, management of Lynx Entertainment will officially announce this good news in no time, maybe after winning their expected awards at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards 2019.
The group which is made up of twins Michael Boafo popularly known as B2 and Tony Boafo (Twist) had carved a niche for themselves at their tertiary education level; University of Ghana (UG) and Ghana Technical University College (GTUC) respectively before their breakthrough.
DopeNation is known for producing hit songs such as ‘Kpuu Kpaa’ by Shatta Wale, ‘Wow’ by Joey B feat EL, ‘Sebgafia’ Joey B and EL, ‘Poison’ by Ebony Reigns, ‘Forever’ by Eazzy feat Mr Eazi and ‘Nana Ama’ by Pappy Kojo. As musicians, they have several hits songs to their credit such as ‘Eish’ and ‘Naami’ feat Olamide among others.
Lynx Entertainment has been responsible for successfully launching the solo careers of Ghanaian musicians like, ASEM, Irene Logan, DJ Blag, Eazzy, Zigi, Jayla and Mzvee, and more recently Kidi and Kuami Eugene.
Richie as the head of the Label also owns the Cockpit Lounge and Bar at the Achimota Retail Centre and also runs an ushering agency.
