Former President and flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, is scheduled to deliver a keynote address at the Nigerian Bar Association’s 64th Annual General Conference in Lagos today, August 26.
The conference, themed “Pressing Forward – A National Posture for Rebuilding Nigeria,” will benefit from Mahama’s extensive experience in democratic governance and collaborative development.
Joyce Bawa Mogtari, Mahama’s spokesperson, highlighted in a social media post that the former President will emphasize the critical roles of accountability and leadership in governance.
Additionally, she said the former President will have the opportunity to discuss innovative approaches to Nigeria’s current challenges with legal practitioners.
This engagement comes shortly after the NDC’s manifesto launch, titled “Resetting Ghana—Jobs | Accountability | Prosperity,” in Winneba. During the manifesto launch, Mahama articulated a vision for inclusive governance, urging Ghanaians to unite across ethnic, religious, and partisan lines to secure their future.
Mahama will also engage with Nigerian legal practitioners on innovative solutions to the country’s pressing issues.
Mrs. Mogtari stated, “Mahama left for Lagos shortly after the successful launch of the NDC’s 2024 manifesto, “Resetting Ghana—Jobs | Accountability | Prosperity,” on Saturday in Winneba.
“In his launch address, he stated, “… we are presenting you with a manifesto that will help you take back your future. We need a government that will galvanise the efforts of all Ghanaians, irrespective of ethnicity, religion, or partisan affiliation”.”
