Mahama hits Ashanti Again

FORMER PRESIDENT John Dramani Mahama will take his campaign tour to the Ashanti Region on November 10, 2020.

The Ashanti Regional National Democratic Congress (NDC) Chairman, Mr. Augustus Nana Akwasi, made the disclosure in Kumasi.

Interestingly, Mr. Mahama’s visit would start barely few days after President Nana Akufo-Addo’s campaign tour of the Ashanti region.

Already, political experts believe that the NDC leader had strategically timed his campaign to destroy Nana Akufo-Addo’s campaign.

According to them, Mr. Mahama would have the opportunity to directly react to whatever the president had campaigned about in the area.

But Nana Akwasi has explained that the NDC leader’s visit to the Ashanti Region has nothing to do with President Akufo-Addo’s campaign.

According to him, originally, Mr. Mahama was supposed to commence his campaign tour of the Ashanti Region on November 3, 2020.

The NDC however capo said the party had to reschedule the tour at the last minute “because we were told the president will tour the region”.

According to him, the NDC has therefore decided to start the campaign tour of the region on November 10 when the NPP had finished their tour.

Nana Akwasi, who sounded very confident, stated that the NDC would cause a huge upset in the Ashanti Region on December 7.

According to him, the era when the NPP considered the Ashanti region as their stronghold “is gone forever and we shall all see very soon”.

Nana Akwasi said the NDCs house-to-house campaign in the Ashanti Region had gathered momentum and it is a sign of positive things to come.
