MAHAMA IS AFRAID OF COMPETITION- NPP Vice Chair

THE Asokwa Constituency 1st Vice Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Edmund Kyei, has said that, going by ongoing developments in the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), it is clear that ex-President Mahama is afraid of competition.

He said the NDC is charging a staggering GH¢400,000 as filing fee from presidential aspirants on purpose.

According to him, Mr. Mahama, who has the backing of the NDC national executives, is clearly afraid of contest, and that the high filing fee is meant to deter some of the aspirants.

“Mr. Mahama is afraid of competition and so the NDC has decided to demand GH¢400,000 just to prevent some of the presidential aspirants from contesting him.

“Mr. Mahama is aware that he will lose the upcoming presidential race and wants to adopt crook means to get his way through as flagbearer.

“The NDC executives know that if they raise the amount to GH¢400,000 most of the aspirants cannot pay, and would opt out of the race, he stated, adding that even if Mahama eventually scales through the NDC race “he will face his match in President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo”.

He noted that President Akufo-Addo would rely on his splendid works and policies to defeat Mahama during the 2020 presidential elections.
