Mahama is the Rightful Candidate for NDC – Ras Mubarak

The Kumbungu MP Ras Mubarak has confirmed that he is part of the 94 Minority MPs who have endorsed former President John Dramani as candidate for 2020. The NDC MP on Wednesday said the number could even be more because at the time of endorsement, some members were at committee meetings. The level of endorsements he stressed is overwhelming.

‘’The endorsement is true. I am one of those who endorsed Mr Mahama. Secondly also, the number may even be more than the number that have been put out. As the time of signing the document, that was the number available but I can assure you that the number is more.’’

Ras Mubarak said, the overwhelming endorsement stern from the fact that, Ghanaians are calling on former President Mahama to come ‘’take over the steers’’ because clearly, President Akufo-Addo is incompetently managing the country.

‘’Ghanaians are crying and calling on Mahama to come back and manage the country.’’ The near collapse of the free SHS, introduction of new taxes, economic hardship, the corruption and nepotism under the NPP is unprecedented.

However majority of MPs has vowed to campaign across the length and breadth of the country for the former President Mahama because he is appropriate or suitable in the circumstances, competent and the best bet for the NDC. The 94 MPs according to information gathered have since then formed a group called MPS4JM (Members of Parliament for John Mahama) and their number has increased from eighty to ninety-four with a few more expected to join.

They have been holding meetings to plan and strategize on how best to support the former President. The NDC has a total of one hundred and six (106) MPs. In furtherance of their cause, the MPs have levied themselves a one-time bulk amount in addition to a monthly contribution which is paid into an account solely opened for the cause.

The MP said, ‘’the Daily Post Publication with the caption, ’94 MPs endorses former President Mahama’; It is true, I am the coordinator of the group.

The same way I have been able to marshal the MPs to endorse John Dramani Mahama; I am going to marshal all the forces and campaign for you.’’
