Mahama Mourns Agyarko
...Describes Him As Noble Man In Politics
Former President John Dramani Mahama has joined the plethora of tributes pouring out for the late Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon, Emmanuel Kyeremateng Agyarko, whose demise has shaken the foundations of the ruling government and indeed the nation as a whole.
The brother of the now-dismissed Minister of Energy, Boakye Agyarko, died at a hospital in the United States of America after a long battle with illness.
In a statement dated November 22, 2018 and signed by his Special Aide, Joyce Bawah Mogtari, Mr. Mahama distinguished the late MP as one whose political stance did not affect his gallant personality. ‘Exemplified gentleman’, is how he described him, indicating how ‘shocking’ news of his death was to him.
“I received news of the Hon. Emmanuel Kyeremateng Agyarko’s death with great shock last night…..politics may divide us on ideological lines and during debates and arguments but Emmanuel Agyarko’s personality and his conduct even in the political space, always exemplified the gentleman he was”, he wrote.
News of the demise of the Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West in Accra Emmanuel Kyeremanteng Agyarko broke Wednesday, 21st November 2018.
The late MP had gone to the United States to seek medical care after an undisclosed medical condition was stabilized at the Ridge Hospital in Accra.
The late Agyarko left behind a wife and seven children, five of which are quintuplets.
