Mahama is a murderer – Abronye DC defends

The Bono Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwame Baffoe Abronye, popularly known as Abronya DC has said, he has a barrel full of evidence to justify the point that former President John Dramani Mahama is a murderer. 

This was contained in a letter written to the Criminal Investigation Department of the Ghana Police Service, defending allegations he leveled against the former President.

Former President John Dramani Mahama had petitioned the Director-General of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service to investigate murder allegations made against him by the Bono Regional Chairman.

In the said letter, his lawyer, Tony Lithur said Abronye DC has accused his client, John Dramani Mahama and some members of the NDC of planning to assassinate some members of the NPP.

“My instructions are that in a recording on a TV programme on Net 2 TV, Madina, Accra which has been circulating on various social media platforms including Facebook and Whatsapp platforms, Abronye made certain false claims alleging a plot masterminded by His Excellency John Dramani Mahama to assassinate some NPP personalities including he, Abronye DC, himself…”.

However in a response, Abronye DC said he has more than enough evidence to assist the Police arrive at the conclusion that ‘a certain Mahama’ wanted him killed adding that, a politician of his caliber cannot make an allegation or claim without evidence.

He said “following from the above, I wish to state categorically that, a politician of my caliber acknowledging very well the laws of this country, I will never make any statement, allegation or utterance (s) without the necessary evidence having at the back of my mind that, as a legal norm in Ghana and other Commonwealth countries, “he who alleges must prove.”

”To conclude, I want to reiterate that I have not breached any statute and for avoidance of doubt, I have a barrel full of better and further particulars (evidence) comprising of audio recordings, phone call recordings and Whatsapp messages to substantiate seriatim all my allegations and concerning my statements about an alleged plot of assassination against me…,” he  added.
