Mahama ‘Slapped’ Over ‘Incompetence’

Former President John Dramani Mahama, has been sternly criticized and challenged for describing the Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s led-government incompetent.

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Communication Director for Asokwa Constituency in Kumasi, Edmund Kyei, in responding to the ‘incompetent’ tag, said Mr. Mahama’s tenure in political office was filled with massive corruption and gross incompetence, which led to massive hardship.

He explained further that John Mahama, whose reign stagnated Ghana’s growth and deepened poverty among the citizenry, lacks the moral right and logical stance to turn around and rather describe an eight-monyh old government that is doing well as ‘incompetent.’

Incompetence Rhetoric

Mr. Mahama, whilst addressing National Democratic Congress (NDC) members in Tamale over the weekend, is reported to have said God intentionally gave political power to the NPP in 2016 to expose the party’s level of  incompetence.

Mr. Kyei, speaking in an exclusive interview with THE PUBLISHER, descended heavily on Mr. Mahama for attacking the NPP administration.

Sounding furious, he passed some unprintable words on the former Ghana leader, noting that Mr. Mahama’s days in political office brought excessive hardship because “He (Mahama) was incompetent”.

Mahama’s Incompetence Record

Mr. Kyei said “Mr. Mahama’s incompetence resulted in procurement of over $72 million fake software at SSNIT, procurement of $100 million rotten fertilizer for cocoa farmers and public debt of over $36 billion.

“Inflation rate of 18%, Gh 98 million Zoomlion contracts, 58% Bauxite concession to Mahama’s family, cancellation of allowances to teachers and nurses, Gh 56 million to Woyome and Subah, Gyeeda, Isofoton and other judgment debts.

“Power cuts also known as ‘Dumsor’ for over five years, evidence-based Gh 3.9 bus branding and policy rate of 26%”, adding that Mr. Mahama’s records doesn’t give him the moral right to attack the NPP administration.

NPPs Competence Record

Mr. Kyei said in just eight months in political office, the NPP administration, led by the visionary leader, Nana Akufo-Addo, has chalked several mind-blowing achievements to better the lives of the people.

“The NPP has implemented the free SHS policy, One District, One Factory, Restoration of Allowances for teachers and nurses, cancellation of NDCs mandatory towing levy and paperless port.

“We have also cancelled the 58% bauxite concession contract, awarded by John Mahama’s government to his brother, Ibrahim Mahama, ensured selfless governance, policy rate of 21%, inflation rate of 11.9% and incorruptible administration”.

Mr. Kyei stated that the above given statistics clearly show that the NPP administration is competent and credible to lead the country into affluence in a short time, adding that Mr. Mahama is confused over his exit from political office.
