Riyad Mahrez is set to go AWOL from Leicester again this morning (Friday) and faces a fine of two weeks’ wages, approximately £200,000.
The Algerian, said to be gutted that a proposed move from Citys Leicester to Manchester fell through this week, was even said by a friend to be “depressed”. He did not show up for training Thursday.
According to the Mirror, the club will now fine the playmaker, while his behaviour is causing concern with officials who are required to inform FA drug testers of the player’s location.
It is said that the Foxes rebel believes the club betrayed him as his dream move to Manchester City broke down.
