It makes no sense to endorse political parties ahead of elections – Wanlov
As the 2020 general elections is gearing up, many celebrities and other public figures have made known of their various interests of support but for musician Wanlov the Kubolor, it’s a no endorsement for him.
Speaking in an interview on Citi TV’s lifestyle variety show, Upside Down on Sunday, Emmanuel Owusu Bonsu said there will be no sort of endorsement from his side for any political party ahead of the December polls.
“Never! I’m not interested in that kind of change,” he said when he was asked whether he will support any political party.
The music producer further expressed worry about the level of violence in Ghana’s political system, especially as the election beckons.
“I’m worried. It just seems to be getting more and more aggressive,” he lamented.
Wanlov the Kubolor is widely acclaimed for his debut album ‘Green Card’ released in late 2007 when he returned to Ghana after 7 years of his stay in the United State of America.
He has songs such as ‘Kokonsa’, ‘Human Being’, ‘African Gypsy’, ‘Smallest Time’, among others.
