Man Drowns During Baptism

A 21-year old Christian man got drowned in a river at Aniamoa, in the Atwima Mponua District of the Ashanti Region while being baptized as part of necessary religious rituals that would certify him as a candidate of Heaven, according to information reaching THE NEW PUBLISHER.

 The incident happened Saturday morning and police is questioning the church leadership that organized the baptismal ritual.

The residents of Aniamoa are yet to come to terms with the circumstance surrounding the sudden disappearance and subsequent death of the man.

The lifeless body of the new convert, identified as Isaac Frimpong, had since been deposited at morgue.

The deceased got drowned under bizarre circumstances, few minutes after he had been baptized by the pastor.

Eye witnesses said, on Saturday morning, a certain popular man of God in the area whose name the residents could not mention went to the river to baptize some new converts into the Christian faith.

According to them, several new converts, including Frinpong, were successfully baptized in the river by the pastor without any problem.

After the successful baptism, the new converts, including Frimpong, were sitting on the banks of the river having a hearty chat together.

But, surprisingly, Frimpong suddenly got missing and after hours of wild search, his body was seen floating on the river, sparking fear among the people.
