Man Killed in Galamsey Pit

AN ALMOST decomposed body of a male has been found floating in an abandoned mining pit at Bomfa Achiase in the Juaben Municipality.

A farmer discovered the body in the pit and raised an alarm, bringing scores of curious people to the scene, before a team of divers retrieve it.

The body had since been deposited at the morgue awaiting autopsy, eye witnesses informed THE PUBLISHER.

According to reports, the farmer was working on his farm last week when he noticed an unpleasant smell.

The reports say the farmer became suspicious and quickly started searching around to see if an animal had died on his farm.

To his horror, he saw the body of an unknown man floating on the water in an abandoned mining pit close to his farm.

He then raised an alarm and people in the town, who thronged to the place, assisted in the retrieval of the nearly-decomposed body.
