Man Kills Giant Python
CHIEF MAHAMA Busah, an aged man resident at Dunkwa-on-Offin in the Central region, has become an instant hero after risking his life to kill a giant and dangerous serpent that had been terrorizing people in the area for years.
The dangerous reptile, who eye witnesses claimed was as long as an electric pole, had been hiding in a cemetery close to the town.
Terrified residents of the community have tried several times to kill the dangerous reptile but all their efforts had been in vain, until recently.
Chief Mahama, said to be an old hunter, bravely confronted the animal and eventually managed to kill it.
Elated-looking residents of the, who could not believe what they witnessed, were heard showering praises on the old man, while others chanted his name.
The hero was also seen taking pictures with the dead snake as it dangled on his neck.
There have been several reports of the snake biting some people, resulting in deaths and life-threatening injuries.
