Man washes Anus with acid

TWO CLEANERS of a public toilet facility in the Kumasi Central Market have been arrested for their negligence, which has led to serious injuries to a man.

The two suspects, who are currently in police custody and assisting in investigations were identified by the police as Pebire Asampana, 50, and Kofi Dacamna, 35.

The duo left an acid in a plastic Ablution Can on the toilet on Friday and one Tijani Ayuba, unknowingly used the acid to clean himself after attending to nature’s call.

Tijani, said to be a shoemaker in the Central Market, raced from the toilet facility as he cried like a baby for help, after he used the acid to clean his private parts.

There were severe and scary burns on the buttocks, thighs and other private parts of Tijani, who was quickly rushed to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH).

Considering the severity of the injuries of Tijani, he was instantly admitted at the hospital by medical staff. He is now said to be responding to treatment.

The unfortunate case was reported to the police, who afterwards arrested the two toiler cleaners to help assist the police in their investigations into the case.

The two suspects, according to reports from police sources, said they mistakenly left the acid in the plastic Ablution Can after cleaning the toilet that day.
