THE ASHANTI Regional Police have launched massive hunt to apprehend six suspected hoodlums, who allegedly robbed a fuel station at Kunsu with guns and other weapons.
The robbers, who are currently at large, according to the police report, sighted by the THE NEW PUBLISHER, attacked Peteonas Energy Filling Station at Kunsu at 6:20pm on December 12, 2023.
During the unexpected attack, which the police has described as very dangerous, a female fuel attendant at the station was physically attacked and injured by the bloody-thirsty hoodlums.
The six robbers, three of whom were holding pump action guns and clubs, reportedly, fired series of gunshots in the air to scare away people at the scene during the robbery operation.
A police report disclosed that two prominent officials of the Peteonas Energy Filling Station at Kunsu stormed the police station to report about the dangerous attack at their fuel station on December 12, 2023.
They “reported that on same day about 1820 hours, six men armed with 3 pump action guns and clubs, came to the said fuel station and robbed them of an unspecified amount of money.
“Victim Jennifer Pokua, aged 22 years, a pump attendant was hit with a club on the right eye, resulting in its swelling.
“That the robbers fired gunshots indiscriminately, but no casualty was recorded. The robbers fled into a nearby orange farm with their booty”.
The police report also said Jennifer Pokua has since been admitted at the hospital and responding to treatment, adding that police are now hunting for the suspects.
