THE NEWLY elected New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary Candidate (PC) for Manhyia North, Mr. Akwasi Konadu, says his topmost priority is to help President Nana Akufo-Addo to renew his mandate and continue with his good works.
Additionally, he has expressed his certainty to retain the Manhyia North Constituency parliamentary seat for the ruling political party with an increased votes margin during the December 7 presidential and parliamentary elections.
The PC said this is not the time to get complacent but rather for the party to put all differences aside and unite with one vision, one goal and one objective which is to achieve political victory for the NPP
In this regard, Akwasi Konadu has admonished the teeming supporters of the party in the Manhyia North Constituency, especially his loyal supporters, to stop jubilating and rather focus on campaigning harder than ever to retain political power.
According to him, the recently held Manhyia North Constituency NPP parliamentary primaries is a family affair therefore for him “nobody won and nobody lost”, stressing that the NPP and the entire elephant family is the eventual winner of the elections.
“We are one big family; and I trust that we will continue to work together to strengthen the party and develop the constituency”, Akwasi Konadu, who won the polls with five votes difference said “The election is not the end, it is the beginning”.
According to him “There is a lot of work to be done for the party and we can only succeed if we work together as one big elephant family”, indicating that he is ever prepared and battle ready to lead the constituency to win more votes for President Nana Akufo-Addo.
“Not only do we need to retain the presidency and the parliamentary seat but we have to win with historic margin. The job has just began; and we will not rest until it has been been completed”, he said, adding “Spread Nana Addo’s good works for more votes”.
Akwasi Konadu last Saturday won the NPP constituency primaries by beating the incumbent MP, Collins Owusu Amankwa in a closely contested race of 278 to 273.
