THE ROAD network in the Manhyia South Constituency, in Kumasi, in the Ashanti region, has witnessed a massive improvement in recent times.
Roads in this constituency, which is situated in the heart of Kumasi, used to be very deplorable, thereby impeding the smooth movement of people and goods.
Certainly not happy about this unpleasant situation, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Manhyia South, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, quickly intervened.
Nicknamed as ‘Napo’, the Manhyia South Lawmaker put his lobbying skills into display and his tireless efforts have borne positive fruits in the constituency now.
On his Facebook page, Napo proudly shared pictures of some deplorable roads that have been constructed in his constituency with his followers, recently.
Some of the roads that are either completed or underway are Asphalt Overlay from Airport Roundabout-Nigrition College, Plaza, Guilder Hotel to Krofrom.
The rest of the improved road projects are Asphalt Overlay from Airport Roundabout, Manhyia Palace, Apagyahene, Ash Town Court, Ash Town Post Office.
Also making the list of road projects are Asphalt roads from Dunwell Methodist Church to Krofrom and Asphalt road from party regional office to Serwaa Nyarko Girls SHS.
Napo lauded President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for doing a great job in the area of roads, noting that the government has brought positive change into the country.
The lawmaker also wrote that his solemn duty as MP is to work to ensure his constituents benefit from the NPPs good governance, promising to sustain his good works.
