Maradona to Manage in Mexico
Mexican second-division club Dorados de Sinaloa have spoken with Diego Maradona about the Argentina legend taking over as the manager, sources confirmed to ESPN Mexico.
According to sources, negotiations between Maradona and the club exist but a previous arrangement between him and Belarus side Dynamo Brest remains a sticking point.
Maradona signed a three-year contract to serve as chairman of Dynamo Brest in July following the World Cup, where his antics at Argentina matches raised eyebrows.
The 57-year-old former Barcelona and Napoli forward previously managed UAE teams Al-Fujairah and Al-Wasl, along with the Argentina national team from 2008 to 2010.
Dorados are winless this season and currently sit in 13th place of Mexico’s second division, two spots above the relegation spot.
The talks between Maradona and Dorados were first reported by TyC Sports from Argentina.
