MASLOC Gives Cash To K’si Traders
A total of 1,000 traders in the Ashanti Regional capital of Kumasi have been given loans by the Microfinance and Small Loans Centre (MASLOC) to support their businesses
The beneficiaries, drawn from the Kumasi Central Market and the Dr. Mensah area, were given GH¢1,000 each by the MASLOC Chief Executive, Mr. Stephen Amoah, aka ‘Sticker’, on Wednesday.
Explaining the nature of the loan to the media, Mr. Amoah said: “This was a group loan and every beneficiary took home GH¢1,000 to help them to expand their businesses and make more profit”.
He said President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s administration had done more than enough for traders across the country to improve their businesses, adding that about GH¢100million had so far been doled out by his outfit.
“The Ashanti Region has received about GH¢10million of the total MASLOC loans given so far, followed by Greater Accra, GH¢8million”, he disclosed.
Most of the beneficiaries of the loan facility have showered tons of praises on the President and his government.
