THIS MORNING’S annual Delegates Conference of the Ashanti Regional New Patriotic Party (NPP) will certainly produce interesting scenes.
This is because party members that are vying for various party positions have decided to turn the programme’s venue into campaign grounds.
Virtually, every available space at the Forestry Commission Training School Park, Akyawkwon, venue for the Wednesday’s event, has been painted with campaign posters.
The aspirants, who are vying for party positions at the regional and national levels, have also hoisted their huge campaign banners all over the Ejisu Township.
Francis Adomako, the Ashanti Regional NPP Organizer, who is in charge of the organization of the event, confirmed that indeed party posters are all over the place.
Speaking on Wontumi TV, he said both sides of the road from Kumasi to Ejisu, are covered with campaign posters of NPP aspirants at regional and national level.
“The NPP colours is what you see when you ply the Kumasi to the Ejisu road”, he said with delight, stressing “it is a sign that the NPP is battle ready for election 2024”.
Meanwhile, Francis Adomako also stated that all is set for the historic programme to take place successfully, saying “the event venue is ready for the delegates”.
He announced that the seating arrangements have been made and security has also been beefed up, stressing that he was expecting the event to be successful.
Significantly, the NPP would use the event to take stock of its activities for the past year and also plan for the year ahead to make the party strong and attractive.
